SUMMARY:EMT Class - Fall 2023
DESCRIPTION:EMT-B – Emergency Medical Technician Basic\n \nWe offer 3 Classes per year\, (Winter\, Summer and Fall).  Please read the descriptions carefully.  All classes will be added to our training calendar\, so you can see the days that you will attend.\n**All classes can run longer than estimated weeks\, due to holidays.  Please look at the calendar to see the schedules. \nFall Class: August 21\, 2023\nDuration: 15 weeks (August-December)\nTime: Mondays (5pm-10pm)\nCost: $750\n**CAN NOT miss more than 2 class days to successfully complete course.\nNote: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and provide copy of high school diploma or GED.\nThe EMT-B course is an 150 hour D.O.T Approved E.M.T. Basic Provider Class that will prepare you for the WV or National Registry EMT Basic Exam. EMT-Basic training programs teach students the knowledge and skills to provide basic emergency medical assistance to people in need. Students learn to use emergency medical equipment such as suction mounts\, neck immobilizers and splints. The course includes text book\, CPR certification and CPR face shield. EMT-Basic training includes: \n\n*Emergency responsiveness\n*Trauma scenarios\n*Managing respiratory systems\n*Assessing patients\n*Cardiac emergencies\n\nCertification is useful for military service\, volunteer fire departments\, EMS agencies\, hospitals\, security agencies and many other employment opportunities. The course fee DOES NOT include testing fees. \nClick on the link below to register for the EMT-B course.\n\n\n\n\n\nEMT Basic Course Registration
