CCEMS with cooperation from Cabell Huntington Hospital operate a Critical Care Transport (CCT) Ambulance that is able to transport the most critically ill and injured patients to a tertiary care facility. Equipped with advanced equipment and medications, this ambulance is staffed with an equally highly trained crew.

Normal crew configuration for Squad 62 is 2 CCT certified Paramedics and an EMT driver. On specialty transports involving pediatric, neonatal or labor and delivery patients, Cabell Huntington Hospital provides a CCT Nurse to accompany the crew. This ensures that the highest level of care is provided the patient no matter the time of day, location or weather conditions. Squad 62 is capable of transporting the most critically ill and/or injured patients to a receiving hospital safely and efficiently.
