Increased mobility allows the bike team to bridge the gap between foot patrol and stationary ambulance crews which can very well be the difference between life and death a mass gathering event. It has shown that people are more likely to approach EMS personnel on a bike than in an ambulance. The overall goal of the CCEMS Bike Team is to provide rapid access pre-hospital emergency medical services to the community while at a large gathering such as outdoor concerts, festivals, parades, sporting events. The CCEMS Bike team also works to promote community awareness and education about bicycle and helmet safety.

Each of the CCEMS Bike Team members have completed the IPMBA EMS Bicycle Operations course. The course is taught by one of our certified IPMBA instructors and is offered several times through out the year. If your Police or EMS agency is interested in taking the IPMBA course contact us.
