Requirements:

Applicants are required to hold current West Virginia EMT-B or EMT-P level certification or have means to obtain such certification through reciprocity. (ie NREMT-P or NREMT-B certification). In addition, applicants are required to obtain or be currently certified as an NREMT-B. Applicants must have a valid drivers license. Applicants must be willing to subject to a criminal background check, physical exam, and must also pass substance abuse screening. Applicants must possess good verbal and written communication skills. Due to the dynamic nature of EMS, applicants should have a firm grasp on all skills and protocols appropriate to his/her level of training.
